Background

The Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) generates multiple data sets from different sources to understand the performance of the transport network (travel time, congestion, safety, reliability, and the like) and how people move around (modes, purpose, movement, and other customer behaviours and attributes). These data are sourced from internal sources, such as sensors and counters, CCTV, household surveys, and other 3rd party data sources through limited data acquisition and 3rd party data sharing agreement.

New and emerging technologies provide new opportunities to better understand our transport network and our customers.

The key objective is to supplement DTP’s existing data assets with connected vehicle data to provide better data and insights for planning and management of the transport network and enhance provision of real time information to customers.

Eligibility

Only vendors registered to eServices Register by the RFP closing date are eligible and will be assessed. If you wish to submit the response and are not registered, please start the registration process as soon as possible.
