CN0496 – SWEP WINTER 2023 CHANNEL LINING CONSTRUCTION

LMW is seeking to engage suitably qualified contractors for the construction/installation of channel lining and associated works for the LMW Sunraysia Water Efficiency Project.

Contract Specific Information

LMW is seeking to engage contractors for the installation of channel lining for the Winter Works 2023 (WW2023) Package.  The works are to be delivered during irrigation channel shutdown periods in June & July 2023.

The works are to be constructed in accordance with the LMW design drawings and specifications, and comprise of:

• Lining of approx. 4km of existing channel (Principal supplied liner)
• Dewatering of channels
• Cleaning and patching of existing concrete channels
• Concrete rebuild of specific channel sections
• Construction of concrete ‘silt traps’ and concrete anchor blocks
• Fixing of liner material either by anchor trench or stainless steel batten strips
• Cut and welding of liner sections
• Installation of human and fauna channel escape ladders (Principal supplied)
• Installation of approx. 8km of stockproof fencing, including PA and vehicle gates
• Minor earthworks to restore channel banks
• Supply and operation of temporary pumping equipment where required to supply water to irrigators
• Supply and installation of a 210m long DN450 PVC pipeline

Location of the Works

The location of works is spread over two irrigation districts in far North-Western Victoria (Mildura and Red Cliffs).
