The Victorian Government has approved funding of $514 million for Barwon Women's and Children's (BWC). The funding announcement includes $50m in Commonwealth funding. The BWC Project will expand maternity and paediatric services at University Hospital Geelong to service the wider G21 region.

The completion of the BWC Project aims to provide several benefits including improved patient and family experience, improved patient outcomes and assess, improved community confidence of accessing care, and a more attractive and viable regional and rural community.

The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) intends to engage a Managing Contractor (MC) for the BWC Project and is seeking expression of interest to identify the most suitable and capable MC to undertake the Project.
