Description:

Lower Murray Water is inviting companies to attend an industry briefing for the Sunraysia Water Efficiency Project (SWEP) scope of works.

The SWEP is a $37.9 million program of works which aims to create a more efficient water delivery network across the Mildura, Red Cliffs and Merbein Irrigation Districts.

The project involves the modernisation of around 26.7 km of irrigation channel through the installation of channel liners and the installation of buried pipelines. In addition, at least 279 Dethridge meters will be removed or upgraded, and at least 210 domestic and stock outlets will have modern flow meters installed.

The scope of works includes lining existing channels, replacing channels with pipeline, rationalising or replacing small meter outlets, and installing flowmeters on stock and domestic services.

Material supply includes irrigation small meter outlets (SMOs), Stock and Domestic meters (D&S) and plastic channel liner.

The project will be delivered by late 2024, with a majority of works needing to be completed during the lower irrigation demand periods in winter 2023 and winter 2024.

• Supply of Pipeline Material
• Domestic and Stock (D&S) Materials
• Construction Contract to Undertake Channel Lining works as part of the WW2023 (Mildura and Red Cliffs)
• Construction Contract to Undertake Channel Lining in-season (Merbein)
• Construction Contract to undertake Channel Lining works as part of the WW2024 (Mildura L & K Channels)
• Panel of subcontractors to undertake SMO and D&S works (Merbein, Mildura and Red Cliffs)

An industry briefing session will be held in both Mildura and Echuca to provide a high-level summary of upcoming procurement package requirements. This summary is provided for communication and planning purposes only.

It is not a solicitation and doesn’t constitute a request for proposal. It is also not a commitment by the Sunraysia Water Efficiency Project to purchase the described works or services.
