The Camperdown Residential Aged Care Development (CRACD) project comprises the construction and commissioning of a new two storey 36 bed residential aged care facility at the Camperdown Hospital site in Camperdown, operated by South West Healthcare. The new facility will replace the existing Merindah Lodge residential facility at the site.

The new facility will incorporate outcomes from the recent Royal Commission into Aged Care and will deliver outstanding resident amenity that promotes positive ageing.

The project is proposed to be procured and completed in a single Main Works package that will encompass construction of the new facility as well as support services, landscaping and community engagement spaces.

The project will be procured by the Department of Health in partnership with South West Healthcare. The funding for the project will be provided by the Victorian Government.
