The Victorian Government have ambitious emissions reduction targets and will likely need to offset emissions through establishment of carbon sequestration projects.  Catchment Management Authorities and Water Corporations have been collaborating along the carbon offset journey, helping to build the evidence base for projects in Victoria.  Co-investment into projects to maximise potential and opportunities, including socio-environmental co-benefits is an important consideration.   

This project aims to develop a process that provides structure and assurance for co-investment into Victorian water sector carbon sequestration offset projects, which will encourage and create investment that achieves genuine co-benefits.
