The Rutherglen Residential Aged Care Development (RRACD) project comprises the construction and commissioning of a new single storey 50 bed residential aged care facility on a greenfield site in Rutherglen, to be operated by Indigo North Health.

The new facility will incorporate outcomes from the recent Royal Commission into Aged Care and will deliver outstanding resident amenity that promotes positive aging.

The project is proposed to be completed in two stages:

• Early Works removal of hazardous materials, demolition of an existing house, removal of contaminated soil stockpiles and site clearing.
• Main Works construction of a single storey 50 bed residential aged care facility including support services, landscaping, road upgrades and allied health services.

The project will be procured by the Department of Health in partnership with Indigo North Health. The funding for the project will be provided by the Victorian Government.
