The functional requirements for the Emergency electronic Digital Record eDR are based on the ‘Patient Journey’ (the consumers perspective), and must support the following work flows: 

Use Case 1: The expected arrival of a patient (functionally addressed within i.PM Emergency)

• Phase III: electronic Medications Management eMM

Use Case 4: The discharge disposition to inpatient admission

Use Case 5: The discharge disposition to place of residence

Use Case 6: The patient is transferred to another facility

Use Case 7: The patient is transferred to the mortuary
