The purpose of the EOI is to assess if there is a core of the shelf (COTS) Nephrology application that is:

• supported by the vendor through a minimum yearly release cycle;
• is developed on contemporary software (platform and operating system);
• meets best practise cybersecurity patching standards with vendor;
• R&D investment, to continually improve the application for the benefit of its clients.

The (COTS) Nephrology application is required to meet the needs of the Nephrology Department and Epic, RMH’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR), to ensure optimal kidney care for patients. The (COTS) Nephrology application is intended to replace the existing Nephworks application and integrate with the Epic EMR.
