Homes Victoria is intending to release an Expressions of Interest (EOI) in June/ July 2022 for the construction of new social and affordable dwellings as part of the Big Housing Build, to provide more homes for individuals and families in need. 

The project will include the construction of up to approximately 190  new dwellings, compliant with 2021 Apartment Design Guidelines for Victoria, in a multi-residential, medium to high rise development on existing land owned by the Director of Housing.

This will be a two-stage tender process with Expressions of Interest (EOI) called from pre-qualified contractors on the Construction Supply Register (CSR) in the first stage, and short-listed respondents then invited to respond to a Request for Tender (RFT) in the second stage.
Contract award is expected in Q1 2023.

The Government’s Local Jobs First policy and Social Procurement Framework apply to this procurement.  Tender participants will need to complete a Local Industry Development Plan (LIDP) as part of Local Jobs First requirements. The Major Project Skills Guarantee (MPSG) and Apprenticeships Victoria requirements also apply to this procurement. These commitments will need to be included within the LIDP.
