Country Fire Authority (CFA) is intending to release an open tender to construct a new Rural Volunteer Type 1A Fire Station, to replace the existing Molka Fire Station located at 346 Longwood-Shepparton Road, Pranjip 3666.
The new Fire Station will be single storey colourbond metal clad building with the motor room constructed from a prefabricated kit shed structure and the store, amenities and turnout room being constructed from timber framing and timber rafters within the steel structure a total approx. gross floor area of 109 sqm and will consist of the following
Fire station building component to accommodate:
- Reverse in Motor room to house 2 No. firefighting appliances,
- Turnout Room (i.e., change room area(s);
- Comms Alcove,
- Store, and
External site works and other works consisting of:
- Demolition and removal of existing fire station shed structure
- Septic Tank
- Concrete Apron
- Crushed Rock Car Parking
- Rainwater tank
Construction works is targeted to commence in April 2022 and to be completed by August 2022.
The works must comply with Occupational Health, Safety and Environment and Industrial Relations Management which are mandatory requirements. Applicable Government policies affecting the procurement include:
- Directions and instructions for Public Construction Procurement, and
- Social Procurement Policy.
