Description

UPDATE - 22 MARCH 2022

Dear Suppliers,

For those suppliers whom cannot offer FRV’s full Medical Services scope, but would still like to be considered as a subcontractor (Tier 2) to a principle contractor (Tier 1), suppliers can complete the document titled "220322 FRV Medical Services - Tier 2 Supplier List" . This information will then be collated as a “Tier 2 Supplier List” and provided as a schedule within the EOI for consideration by a principle contractor (Tier 1). Should you wish to complete this document, please return it via email to [email protected] no later than 12pm on Friday 25th March 2022 (AEST).

Please note:

- The Tier 1 will not be obligated to utilise the Tier 2 Supplier list to provide their overall solution.

- Tier 2 suppliers are still at liberty to seek out their own partners for the tender and not obliged to provide this information.

UPDATE - 14 MARCH 2022

Dear Suppliers,

Thank you to those who attended the Supplier Briefing held on Thursday 10th March 2022.

For those not able to attend, attached is a recording of the session held on Thursday 10th March as well as the slide deck which was presented by Director Carnedd Williams and Dr. Jospeh Monteith (Chief Medical Officer).

We sincerely hope that the FRV team clearly conveyed to you the exciting opportunity to revamp FRV's Medical services into the future.

Upon reflection, there were 2 Key messages that FRV wanted to share in the lead up to the issuing of the Expression Of Interest:

1. It was realised that the contract length was not mentioned. Considering the importance of the service and the fact that FRV will need to build a strong relationship and partnership over time, the initial contract period will be 5 years. There will be a subsequent contract extension period of another 5 years (breakdown yet to be determined). We hope that this provides potential tenderers with the type relationship that FRV would like to build with a successful supplier over time.

2. Tier 1 and Tier 2 Suppliers - Whilst FRV is looking to establish a contract with a single supplier (principal / head contrcator) to manage all of its statewide medical services, it is acknowledged that such a supplier may provide most but perhaps not all of the services currently.

As such, FRV strongly encourages those suppliers whom may only provide a portion of the services required, to partner with other organisations to supplement and provide a consolidated solution to FRV.  Examples below of possible scenarios:

- A Tier 1 contractor who can provide all services in metropolitan Melbourne but needing to partner with regional suppliers to be able to provide a statewide solution.

- A Tier 2 contractor (e.g. Allied health provider) needing to partner with a GP Network and other disciplines to provide a full solution.

- A Tier 1 contractor who needs to partner with a Tier 2 specialist and vice versa.

Again - we thank all those participants who attended the Supplier Breifing and we look forward to your participation in the EOI process.

Note: Attendance to the Supplier Briefing Session was optional, attendance does not guarantee anything in relation to the next stages of the project nor does non-attendance jeopardise any participation.

Dear Suppliers,

Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) invite you to attend a briefing session ahead of a formal tender process for Medical Services.

The establishment of FRV as a state-wide Fire Rescue service in July 2020, with an increase of employees from approx. 2,000 to >4,500, has necessitated transformation in all facets of organisation service delivery including the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Department.

FRV require state wide comprehensive Medical Services for all employees (high risk operational and corporate) including:

  • Medical Assessments (pre-employment, periodic and separation medicals)
  • Occupational medicine and primary care,
  • Pathology / Radiology,
  • Psychological / mental health,
  • Allied health services and
  • Other ad-hoc occupational Health, Hygiene and Safety

Due to the tight timeframes of this project, we are providing advance notification, via a briefing session, to the market so that suppliers can ensure that they have capacity and resources to participate. The briefing session will take place on Thursday 10th March 2022 at 2pm. Should you wish to participate in the briefing session, please take the following actions:

  1. Fill out the document “FRV Medical Services – Supplier Briefing Attendee List” with the information of the individuals from your organisation who will attend the Supplier Briefing session
  2. Email  FRV Medical Services – Supplier Briefing Attendee List to [email protected]

Once received, you will be invited to a Microsoft Teams Meeting for Thursday 10th March 2022. The invitation will be sent no later that Tuesday 8th March 2022.

Please provide the Attendee List no later than 12pm Wednesday 9th March 2022. We look forward to seeing you there.

Note: Attendance to the Supplier Briefing Session is optional, attendance does not guarantee anything in relation to the next stages of the project nor does non-attendance jeopardise any participation.
