The Community Safety Building Authority (CSBA), on behalf of the Victoria State Emergency Services (VICSES), is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified construction contractor to undertake construction works for the VICSES Wonthaggi Unit project. CSBA intends to invite shortlisted suppliers identified from the Preferred Supplier List (PSL), currently registered on the Construction Supplier Register (CSR) to participate in a Request for Tender (RFT), specifically targeting contractors that are based regionally in the south-east of Victoria. The VICSES Wonthaggi Unit project constitutes development of a site at 89 White Road, Wonthaggi, adjacent to the existing CFA Wonthaggi Fire Brigade, and development of a new building with administration spaces, 4-bay motor room and other ancillary facilities.

The RFTs when formulated will be released via the Buying for Victoria platform. Please refer to the details below.

Construction of new VICSES Wonthaggi Unit facility at 89 White Road, Wonthaggi. Unit facility includes site works and building works (~669 sqm area (GFA)) to be delivered in 2023.

Suppliers selected from the CSR whose Pre-qualification maximum is equal to or above $3,500,000 will only be able to participate in the tender

Supplier to consider the following criteria: 

  • demonstrated financial capacity 

  • established quality management and assurance system 

  • capacity and capability to deliver the requirements 

  • understanding of key deliverables as detailed in the project brief, operating environment and project methodology 

  • demonstrated experience in similar projects 

  • understanding of project pressures, timelines and interdependencies 

Supplier to consider the following requirements and policies: 

  • Insurance (public liability / product liability / professional indemnity / bank guarantees / Work Cover)  

  • Relevant licences / registrations 

  • Social procurement Applicable
