The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is intending to release an open tender to build a new Fire Station located at 69 Specimen Hill Road, Golden Square.

The proposed new Type 2A/B Urban Volunteer Fire Station will consist of the following:

• 4 Bay Motor Room with Turn Out Areas, Workshop, Storeroom and Breathing Apparatus Maintenance Room.
• Offices, Multi-purpose Room, Kitchen and volunteer amenities.  
• Associated external site works including storage shed, driveways and crossovers, on site carparking and hardstand areas for training and landscaping.

Demolition and Construction works is targeted to commence approximately April 2022 and to be completed approximately by November 2022.

The works must comply with Occupational Health, Safety and Environment and Industrial Relations Management which are mandatory requirements.

Applicable Government policies affecting the procurement include:

• Directions and instructions for Public Construction Procurement.
• Social Procurement Policy, and
• Local jobs First Policy and Supplier Code of Conduct.
