East Gippsland Water (EGW) will release a Request for Tender on TenderLink in October 2021 for the installation and commissioning of a new transfer pump (pump 2) at the Lakes Entrance Wastewater Treatment Plant. The new pump is to replace the remaining Weir Duoglide centrifugal pump which is not operating and has reached the end of its design life. The system is currently operating on the single Godwin pump (pump 1) with no redundancy. Works will include equipment removal, structural and pipework modifications and an upgrade to electrical instrumentation and control equipment.

The shortlisting and interview process will take place late in 2021 with final award anticipated to be January 2022.
