Melbourne Water is looking to deliver increased customer and community value by appointing a panel of qualified and experienced service contractors to assist in the management and maintenance of its water supply and catchment assets.

Field service contractors will provide additional capacity to our natural resource management operations – by providing:

An open market tender and competitive bidding process for new panel suppliers will open in September 2021. 

Preference will be given to qualified suppliers with experience in the delivery of the necessary on ground field services, and at the same time delivering benefits to the environment or their communities (Victoria social procurement framework compliance).

Suppliers will need to demonstrate their ability to deliver value, innovation, safety and efficiency when completing field works.  A particular focus will be given to those suppliers that support and facilitate local economic development, employment and training opportunities. Victoria local industry development plan (LIDP) will form part of the tender assessment.

A contract with the term up to 5 years will be offered to the winning contractors.
