The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the Department) values the occupational health and safety of all its employees. A strong evidence base supports that vicarious trauma and burnout have far-reaching implications for staff who case manage offenders and/or are exposed to traumatic material.
Corrections Victoria (CV), a business unit of the Department, seeks to procure a Psychological Wellbeing Service for employees in specified roles, with a focus on management and prevention of evidence-based symptomology of vicarious trauma and burnout.
A Psychological Wellbeing Service (PWS) is to be delivered state-wide either at the locations of the relevant CV employees via one-hour face-to-face sessions, online or via phone depending on employees preference and COVID-19 restrictions. A contract/s will be awarded to ensure coverage across the state, and the extent of coverage of an offer (for example through establishment of a consortium or due to state-wide organisational presence) will form part of the evaluation; however, Offerers are invited to tender for all or part of the service on a geographic or other appropriate basis.
