Description 

The department is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to provide an After Hours Phone Service to receive and action maintenance and emergency calls received for public housing throughout Victoria.

The Department of Health and Human Services (the department) is responsible for the maintenance of approximately 75,000 units of public housing in the State of Victoria. This housing varies from high-rise towers in inner Melbourne to individual houses in suburban and regional areas.   

Public housing tenants are provided with a phone number to call to report any maintenance issues associated with their rental property. During the hours of 7.00pm and 7.00am on weekdays, between 7.00pm Friday and 7.00am Monday, and on public holidays, maintenance phone calls are transferred to an After Hours Phone Service
.
The AHPS provider enters relevant information associated with the maintenance request into the department’s electronic system for ordering maintenance work and refers any urgent maintenance requests to maintenance contractors for action.
