SCOPE OF WORKS
Goulburn Valley Water has a network of water storages and pipelines supplying potable
water to urban towns and cities. This specification is for undertaking annual cathodic
protection surveys on all the existing cathodic protection systems within Goulburn Valley
Waters Regions including inspection, testing, reporting, condition assessment, fault
finding and costing remedial work for the systems shown in Table 1 and provision of
schedule of rates for any repair or maintenance for the systems shown in Table 1 or any
other cathodic protection related works as requested.
The works in this contract comprise two parts, the first being the once yearly survey and
production of a comprehensive report for the cathodic protection systems of twenty three
(23) systems at nineteen (19) towns, refer site summary. The second part is for any
cathodic protection works (repair, maintenance, investigation or new works) required by
GVW across any of the towns serviced by Goulburn Valley Water (GVW).
REQUIRED WORKS
The works required under this contract are associated with the Cathodically protected
systems of GVW. The proposed works are to comply with AS2832 part 4 (Guide to
Cathodic Protection of metals Part 4 - Internal Surfaces), GVW General Electrical
specification and AS3000 (Electrical Wiring Standards). All parts supplied, where
applicable, are to be as per GVW’s Preferred Equipment List.
