The Country Fire Authority (CFA) is intending to release a public RFT in early 2021 (the actual release date will be subject to the approval for publication of a new Standard for Wildland Firefighting Clothing).

CFA will be seeking tenderers for the manufacture of Wildfire Personal Protective Clothing (PPC).

• Initial (approx. 24,000) and continuous supply of Wildfire PPC ensemble (coat & trouser)
• New generation fabric performance as outlined in the AS/NZS 4824:2021 (pending publication) outlining the minimum requirements

The funding for Wildfire PPC was announced as part of the Volunteer capability measures in September 2020 by the Victorian Government.

To comply with Government Purchasing Policies consideration will be given to Social Procurement, Local Jobs First initiatives and Compliance to Victorian Protective Data Security Standards when assessing Tenders submission as part of the evaluation process.
