Box Hill Institute (BHI) is seeking expressions of interest in the supply, installation and ongoing support for its Network Refresh Project.
Companies lodging expressions of interest may be short listed by BHI. Only short-listed companies will be permitted to progress through to a Tender process for these services / works.
BHI occupies campuses in Box Hill, Lilydale and Melbourne City. Existing network hardware was installed over ten years ago and is no longer capable of operating at the levels demanded by our stakeholders. There is an expectation that network usage will continue to increase in the years ahead and it is important that BHI is able to provide network access which enhances student, teacher and other stakeholder experience. BHI is requesting an expression of interest and indicative costs to design new network infrastructure across all campuses that will incorporate LAN and WLAN services and incorporate functionality consistent with future expectations in a Tertiary Education environment.
BHI has initiated this EOI in order to gain information about suitable solutions to our Network Refresh project which will establish a shortlist of suitable suppliers to participate in a subsequent Request for Tender (RFT) process. It will be necessary for the successful Tenderer to work with multiple teams within BHI to ensure effective delivery of a solution which meet the needs of a range of stakeholders. Previous experience in working with complex businesses will be important and in the education sector well regarded. Whilst experience in delivering projects within a similar public sector environment may be advantageous, it is not a prerequisite.
