Collection of Monitoring Data in Water and Sewer Networks
Yarra Valley Water is the largest of Melbourne’s three retail water companies. It provides water and sewerage services to over 2 million people in Melbourne’s northern and eastern suburbs. Our licence area covers over 4,000 square kilometres – from as far north as Wallan extending to Warburton in the east of Melbourne. To assess the performance of YVW’s assets, it is required to monitor the key hydraulic parameters associated with water and sewer networks. The parameters collected during the monitoring will be primarily used to calibrate water and sewer network models, however this contract caters the wider business needs of the other YVW teams.
Yarra Valley Water are seeking for a suitably qualified contractor/contractors to provide monitoring services in YVW’s water and sewer networks.
This contract is a two-year contract with the possible extension of another two years.
Due to the complexities associated with the measurement of the hydraulic parameters, and acknowledging the specific skill requirements for various monitoring initiatives, YVW is planning to deliver this tender in two packages:
- Package 1 – Temporary Sewer network flow and rainfall monitoring
- Package 2 - Temporary Water network flow, pressure and depth monitoring
The tenderers can provide their submissions for Package 1 or Package 2 independently of each other, or for both packages.
YVW released a formal Request for Tender via https://www.eprocure.com.au/yvw/ on 20 May, 2020.
