BH 2019-1004
Healthcare provider specialist services

Barwon Health (BH) is the primary provider of health care to the residents in the Barwon South West Region of Victoria.

BH are seeking a suitable organisation to deliver high quality inpatient and outpatient prosthetic clinical services onsite at the McKellar Centre, Geelong. The service will need to include clinical consultancy by qualified Prosthetist(s) and Orthotist(s) as part of a multidisciplinary team and provision of custom-made prosthetic limbs with associated on-going review and maintenance which meet individual patient needs. A full prosthetic service spanning pre-amputation consultations, Removable Rigid Dressings (RRDs), interim prosthetic rehabilitation and outpatient definitive prosthetic services, is the focus of the requirement. A relatively small amount of inpatient (and associated outpatient follow up) orthotic clinical services across a potentially diverse range of patients are also required.

It is preferred that a single organisation provide all the requested clinical services.

The contract will be for a period of three years from the commencement date. If the Health Service notifies the Contractor in writing that it wishes to do so, the Parties may enter into a further agreement for 1 year. An additional year may also occur via this same process.

BH’s Ambulatory Rehabilitation Program Director is the principal point of contact and liaison for these Services.
