Arts Centre Melbourne – Food and Beverage Department (Organisation) is responsible for the management of food and beverage for Arts Centre Melbourne. Arts Centre Melbourne is a defining city landmark and Australia's largest and busiest performing arts centre. The Arts Centre Melbourne’s responsibilities include the Theatres Building, home to the State Theatre, Playhouse and Fairfax Theatres, Hamer Hall and the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Through our performances, galleries and community spaces we proudly contribute to the Victorian community by providing a creative spaces, and experiences through which all Victorians and international visitors can be inspired. Arts Centre Melbourne plays a pivotal role in sustaining Melbourne’s cultural heartbeat by preserving Melbourne’s artistic heritage. In partnering with Arts Centre Melbourne, your brand will be associated with a Melbourne icon and reach engaged, highly educated and discerning international and domestic audiences, including thought leaders, influencers, corporates and high-net-worth individuals. You will be aligning your business with dedicated cultural ambassadors who understand the impact of culture on our community and specialise in connecting across a diverse audience base. The Victorian Arts Centre Trust (Arts Centre Melbourne) is seeking responses to this Invitation to Supply for the provision of supply rights for Coffee and Equipment.

Our business

Arts Centre Melbourne is poised to deliver continued growth in 2019/20 and beyond as we focus on delivering commercial strategies to support our core purpose. As we come to the close of our seventh year of in-house food and beverage operations we continue to identify opportunities to work with our supply partners to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. We will continue to work on refreshing our offer and broadening our customer base, improving services and further developing Arts Centre Melbourne as a destination precinct, not only for Arts patrons but for general visitors alike.  Focus on supporting local and Australian sourced produce and partnerships. Venues such at Hamer Hall,  the about to be re-imagined Theatres Building and public realm our new forecourt outlet The Protagonist and surrounding areas patronage numbers remain healthy and that our offer is ever changing. Our strategic partnerships are secured to deliver on event activations throughout the year. A full calendar of events and a healthy programing schedule will deliver continued growth to Arts Centre Melbourne.

 

With ongoing participation in iconic Melbourne events such as Melbourne Food and Wine Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, another solid season at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, and new outlet developments on the horizon, we are confident of growth over the coming period. Add in our world class calendar of Opera, Ballet and theatre productions and we are assured of a calendar of unique and diverse opportunities. Our supply partner will be critical to our success. We will look towards our partners for product innovation, diversity, training, marketing and promotional expertise and infrastructure support. A collaborative approach will see unprecedented growth through active engagement of your brand to our audience, and cement Arts Centre Melbourne as one of the main tourist and visitor destinations in Victoria.

 

Arts Centre Melbourne is anticipated to undergo a significant reimagining as part of a Government announced redevelopment of Melbourne’s arts precinct. The project will involve upgrades to Arts Centre Melbourne’s theatres and public spaces, along with changes across the precinct (Reimagining). Arts Centre Melbourne recognises the need to communicate, consult and engage, in good faith, on matters that may impact on the result of the Reimagining as it relates to the offer.
