Barwon Water is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Principal Contractor to carry out all necessary works to replace the Highton Feeder Main, and decommission existing assets. 

The Highton Feeder Main (FM) is a bulk water supply pipeline supplying drinking water to South Geelong, East Geelong and the Geelong Central Business District from Highton Basin No. 2. The FM is an OD648 Mild Steel Concrete Lined (MSCL) Pipe, asbestos cement wrapped, installed circa 1946. This project aims to reduce the risk of asset failure by replacing a portion of the main on the northern bank of the Barwon River. 

Note a Site Briefing will not be completed as part of this Tender. Tenderers are instead requested to attend site prior to Tender Submission to confirm they have inspected the site and made themselves aware of site conditions.  Details are in the Tender Document, Clause 3.2
