Contract Details
North East requires a Principal Contractor with demonstrated experience and capability in delivering similar projects under a certified management system within the specified timeframes for the following separable portions of work;
WALWA
The Walwa town ship has two 110kL concrete clear water storage (CWS) tanks located at the Water Treatment Plant (WTP). These tanks have developed cracks due to minor earthquake tremors in recent years and require replacement. Two new 150kL above ground tanks are to be designed and constructed on the existing tank footprints along with the associated pipe work, fittings, electrical works and instrumentation outlined in the issued specification and preliminary design drawings.
MOYHU
The existing Moyhu 150kL tower CWS tank requires replacement as it has reached the end of its theoretical life. A new above ground 350kL concrete CWS tank and associated pipe work and fittings is to be designed and constructed as outlined in the issued specification and preliminary design drawings.
OXLEY
The Oxley tower CWS tank requires replacement as it has reached the end of its theoretical life. Two new above ground 330kL concrete CWS tanks and associated pipe work and fittings are to be designed and constructed as outlined in the issued specification and preliminary design drawings.
The Principal Contractor must have a supplier management system that is fully certified by a certifying body against one of the standards / assurance systems listed by both the Department of Treasury (DTF) & Finance and Worksafe.
Tenderers must have one of the following approved OHS assurance systems that is independently certified/audited for currency, to be considered eligible to participate in this tender:
(a) ‘Safety Map’;
(b) AS 4801 2001: OHS Management Systems;
(c) Civil Contractors Federation Management Code;
(d) Australian Government Building and Construction WHS Accreditation Scheme; and
(e) ISO 45001 2008 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
