North East water requires the following Sewer Pump Stations (SPS’s) to be upgraded or modified: 

Traton St SPS, Wahgunyah 

• Modifications to the existing cast in-situ reinforced concrete wet well structure to reduce the height of the top down to ground level and enable safe access.
• Full mechanical upgrade, including but not limited to, the supply and installation of new Flygt Concerter pumps.
• Full electrical upgrade including but not limited to the supply and installation of new electrical switchboard and cabling.
• Temporary by-pass pumping to facilitate the works.
• Associated civil works and disposal of redundant equipment. 

K-M art/Harper St SPS’s, Wangaratta 

• Construct a new 250mm gravity sewer, up to 5m deep, to permanently by-pass K-Mart SPS by directing flow to the Harper St SPS
• Mechanical upgrade/modifications to the Harper St SPS as required to cater for the additional flow.
• Electrical modifications to facilitate the use of a Flygt Concerter pump.
• De-commission the K-Mart SPS and reinstate surrounds.
• Associated civil works, flow control measures and disposal of redundant equipment. 

AGL Hydro SPS, Mt Beauty 

• On existing SPS well, raise floor, perform concrete repairs and convert it into an inlet manhole.
• Modify and convert the nearby disused wet-well into a replacement SPS.
• Full mechanical fit out of replacement SPS including but not limited to the supply and installation of a new Flygt Concerter pump.
• Full electrical upgrade including but not limited to the supply and installation of a new electrical switchboard, instrumentation and cabling.
• Install a new valve chamber and section of rising main.
• Associated civil works and disposal of redundant equipment.
• Temporary means of catering for existing flows to facilitate the works. 

North East Water is now inviting suitably qualified and experienced interested parties to tender for the design and construction of this scope of works as detailed in the preliminary drawings and specification provided. North East Water is seeking to engage an organisation to complete the works under an AS4902 Design & Construct contract. The organisation must have the experience and the capacity to construct deep gravity sewer and sewer pump stations. 

North East Water also requires the contractor to act as a Principal Contractor as defined by Worksafe Victoria. They must have an occupational health and safety system that is fully certified by a certifying body against one of the standards / assurance systems listed by both the Department of Treasury & Finance (DTF) and WorkSafe. North East Water encourages Contractors to undertake the DTF’s prequalification process to enable registration for construction and/or construction related services on the Construction Contractors Register. The Victorian Government and Public bodies such as North East Water may use the Construction Contractors Register to create shortlists of Contractors to invite to submit tenders for Public Construction and Construction Related Services.
