Buyer Post #3 - Briefing Questions This post is publicly visible

Please see below Q&As from the breifing session.

Question 1:         Data connections?

Answer: LMAR will provide the backbone data wiring to each of the three Fibre Optic termination points:

  1. Basement area Administration Building.
  2. Basement Area Bistro Building
  3. Data Enclosure Left side of Main Switchboard (Generator Building)

It is the contractor’s responsibility to run the appropriate data cables from each of these points to the inverters. The Administration building will require RS 485 for inverter management and Can Bus for the HMI unit. We have also specified on spare data cable on this run.

Question 2:        Expression of Interest or full quotation?

Answer:              LMAR are looking to award this contract based on both quality of submission and price.

Question 3:        Is logger availabe?

Answer:              Data has been logged in 2-month blocks. Appropriate irradiation and load profiling has already been done and is not required for your submission.

Question 4:         Can you please clarify the specs of the RAPS system, which is currently installed at the site?

Answer:              Power Rating = 3 X 20 KW Selectronic SP Pro inverters (60KW 3 phase)

                             Energy Rating = 120 x 2600 Sonnenschein gels approximately 528kWh gross

                                                          200kWh @ 40% DoD.

Question 5:        Please confirm that the new solar system and new generators need to work synchronously with the existing RAPS system on-site?

Answer:              This is confirmed. Selectronic have requested that all East facing arrays operate in the morning and all west facing arrays operate in the afternoon.

Question 6:        Is the tenderer to quote for the PLC installation and programming?

Answer              The PLC installation and programming is part of the Generator contract. if the PLC is held up due to switchboard supply issues then the Selectronic inverters will manage the solar until the PLC can be commissioned.
