Supplier Post #24 - Staffing Dates Clarification This post is publicly visible
Do ESV have any reduced staffing dates throughout December and January that will impact us being able to access them for information or acceptance signoffs?
Posted on 21 Aug 2020 10:27 by Supplier Person
Thank you for your question.
All technology consultants and contractors are expected to break for the period December 23 to January 3 inclusive to ensure full ESV workforce support. The tenderer should use the ‘assumptions made’ in the tender response to acknowledge their position and include the break in their timelines and milestones.

Supplier Post #22 - Section 4 - clarification requested This post is publicly visible
Please clarify the following:
Document: ESVRFT202101 PART B.pdf
Section 4
Point 4.1.b
This makes reference to the “Victorian Protective Data Security Standards (VPDSS)” and provides a link to the document - https://ovic.vic.gov.au/resource/victorian-protective-data-security-standards
Point 4.1.c
This makes reference to the “Victorian Government data standards and guidelines” and provides a link to the location - https://ovic.vic.gov.au/resource/victorian-protective-data-security-standards/
Question:
The links provided in 4.1.b and 4.1.c are both the same, is this correct?
Posted on 18 Aug 2020 14:42 by Supplier Person
Yes, our apologies for duplication.

Supplier Post #21 - ESV Clarification This post is publicly visible
Clarification of what ESV’s expectation is in terms of how the “indicators for informing future state” deliverable, as indicated in section 12.4.c, is to be delivered and the level of detail required of the content.
Posted on 18 Aug 2020 12:28 by Supplier Person
The expectation for 12.4c is for the Consultant to advise ESV of key findings in relation to expected significant impact on the future state, both risk and opportunity, at a high level. I.e. without going into future state detail.
Delivery would be via MS Office document with an editable format and should be component of the final report and presentation.
Thank you,

Supplier Post #20 - ESVRFT202101 PART B - 4.1.c - Query This post is publicly visible
In summary, ESVRFT202101 PART B - 4.1.c doesn't actually provide the document that should be referenced. It takes you to the same website as ESVRFT202101 PART B - 4.1.b, which seems to be a copy/paste error, hence can ESV clarify the document that should be referenced please?

Supplier Post #18 - Scope question This post is publicly visible
Do you have a rough estimation of the number of data domains and business processes to be included in the current state EA definition?
Posted on 14 Aug 2020 11:19 by Supplier Person
The identification, definition and documentation of all data domains and business processes is one of the first steps in the project. At this time ESV in unable to provide any estimates.
Thank you.

Supplier Post #17 - Future State Work This post is publicly visible
For “SC1 - If, before to the completion of this Agreement, ESV initiates a procurement process to appoint a contractor to advise ESV on its Enterprise Architecture Future State, the Contractor must not participate in that procurement process”, our approach to developing technology blueprints is best delivered from an end-to-end perspective, i.e. using the same artefacts and techniques in an iterative approach of transitioning from current state to future state considerations. To this end, our question is whether ESV would consider removing the opportunity of the current state Contractor to bid for the future state work? One approach that could be adopted is for a gateway to be added at the end of the current state phase in terms of agreeing consensus on the way forward (i.e. for ESV to continue to issue into the future state phase or issue a revised SoW to the market).
Posted on 14 Aug 2020 08:58 by Supplier Person
Thank you for your question. We have considered our approach to market and will not remove the Special Condition SC1.

Supplier Post #16 - Data asset definition questions This post is publicly visible
Could you advise to what level you are looking to define your data asset? e.g. Domain top level down to attribute level for all data domains in every business process or high-level domains only.
Are you looking to train your own staff to manage your baseline data asset ongoing or utilise ongoing vendor support service?
Posted on 12 Aug 2020 13:21 by Supplier Person
We are looking at top down approach (domain to attribute level) to define ESV data assets. However, we prefer a staged approach (domain, business process, attribute).
We are planning to manage our baseline data assets ourselves but we are open to (and often do) work with external vendors on specific projects.
Thank you,
