Dear Tenderer(s),

Please see below for clarifications asked via the online forum:

1. Existing joinery/Stainless steel benching in Breast feeding/dirty utility is not shown on the demolition plan – we note that some is being retained but we sighted some at the walk through that isn’t shown on the plans.

Can you please confirm/update demolition drawings so that any fixed joinery marked for removal is shown? Ditto with any workstations or loose furniture that need to be demolished & included in our tender.

2. Room 5.NN.43 WC is shown in elevation to receive paint finish (drawing A33 T0) however drawing A21 shows wall vinyl to 2100.
Can you please confirm which is correct? The same query applies for the accessible toilet 5.NN.22 – a21 shows no wall vinyl but the elevations on drawing a31 show wall vinyl.

3. Drawing A21 T1 shows tender option to paint finish to all walls within work areas – if the tender option/alternative is to paint all walls within works area, can you please what is to be included in the base tender price?

4. Timber handrail is noted in the finishes schedule but I cannot locate the extent on plans or elevations. Can you please confirm if this is required?

5. Please confirm workstations and loose furniture are not part of the builders scope.

Generally not part of the builder's scope, but refer tender documents on requirements. 

 

6. Waterproofing is mentioned on A21 – please confirm if waterproofing is to be included in our tender and if so, please provide further details (marked up plan) regarding the extent of areas requiring waterproofing & which surfaces (ie just floors or floors and walls)

7. Is there a glazing schedule available? Or are there specs available on new glazing & frames for Collab hub and meeting room?

8. Are there any section details available for new partition walls types detailing frame, linings, insulation etc?

9. Please confirm new vinyl flooring junction detail where new vinyl meets new LM3 bedhead panel.

10. Please confirm if painting to EMR office area is to be included in our tender?

11. Please confirm if bed pan flusher is to be supplied/installed by Builder?

12. Door protection DP1 is noted in the finishes schedule – can you please confirm which doors are to receive new door protection?

13. Drawing a31 t1 – Store room in Staff base area says replace existing sliding door and track, I couldn’t locate this new door on the door schedule – are you able to please provide details on door, hardware, sliding track?

14. Please confirm if nurse call works are to be included in the tender.

15. New sprinklers are marked in the EMR office – at the site inspection these appeared to be existing. Can you please confirm if new are required? And also new FHR is shown in existing and proposed layouts (F100 t3). Is a new FHR required?

16. Any relocations/additions to power outlets in the rooms marked CPA (bay 2,3,46 & patient lounge) will result in a complete upgrade to all outlets in the area & rewiring. This would have a reasonable impact on the cost of the electrical works. Can you please confirm if this upgrade is required?
Or can we leave the existing power outlets in these rooms unchanged (without additions or relocations)?

Refer Electrical Drawing (E001) Item 17,  it is not intended for re-certification of electrical protection zone to occur to these areas due to the extensive upgrading/re-wiring works and the design has been based largely on re-using existing power outlets. However, this does not relieve the Contractor of its obligations to meet relevant AS3003 compliance.
