Contract - PR15076-01
Contract Details
The objective of this project is to build and validate a water model for the Corryong network, and develop water scenario models to optimise the system. The outcomes of these models will be used to inform infrastructure requirements for servicing existing network and potential future developments within the township. The expected outcomes of this project include:
• Build model for current water network, and reporting
• Validate built model of the current water network, and reporting;
• Scenario models for optimisation of Corryong water network, and reporting; and
• An update to the existing infrastructure plan which identifies current and future infrastructure requirements for the water systems including cost estimates, triggers for upgrades of existing infrastructure e.g. increase capacity of trunk mains or pump stations, and timing for construction of new infrastructure e.g., SPS, tanks etc. This plan must also identify land requirements for future infrastructure e.g. tanks, pumps stations, easements, buffer zones etc.
The modelling component of this project will develop scenarios to optimise existing Corryong water network. This will include optimising the Playles Hill Tank system, Greenham St Basin system, and the most efficient way to satisfy drinking water quality requirements. This modelling will consider immediate growth needs, whilst also incorporating requirements for long-term growth scenarios to 2065 and beyond.
The water modelling will validate the sizing of pipelines and clear water storages, identify the scenario to optimise system while maintaining adequate pressure throughout the reticulation network, and also confirm preferred pipeline alignments.
