Description
As part of the Goulburn-Murray Water (GMW) Connections project, newly constructed irrigation meters are required to be commissioned in the field to enable remote communications. This work requires experienced contractors to commission installed components including irrigation pedestals, solar panels, antenna, flow meter and control cubicle. Field acceptance tests and checks are required to be completed to enable remote communications from the site to the GMW’s SCADA network.
The work sites are typically located on or adjacent to irrigation channels that are spread through the irrigation channel network.
All responses are to be in accordance with GMW’s specification, which is available from www.tenders.vic.gov.au. It will be necessary to register to be able to download the specification but there is no cost to register. Further information can be obtained by contacting Peter Waller or preferably through the online forum on Tenders Vic. (Please note that e-mail is the preferred method of communication).
The lowest cost tender or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
Tenders are to be submitted via the electronic tender box at Tenders Vic by 2.00 pm (Eastern Summer Time) on Thursday 14 November 2013.
Tenderers should note that the Building Code 2013 (Commonwealth) applies to this project.
The Victorian Government’s Code of Practice for the Building and Construction Industry (Victorian Code) and the Victorian Government's Implementation Guidelines to the Victorian Code of Practice for the Building and Construction Industry as amended from time to time (Victorian Guidelines) apply to this project. Compliance with the Victorian Code and Victorian Guidelines is a pre-requisite to submitting any tender response and to any successful contract being awarded.
